A Cultural Principality
Seborga
Perched above the Ligurian coastline near the French border, the historic Principality of Seborga is one of the Riviera’s most distinctive villages — a place where medieval stone lanes, painted chapels, and a proud local identity meet sweeping views of the sea.
Seborga’s cultural heritage, ceremonial traditions, and royal folklore have long fascinated travellers drawn to the Riviera’s quieter corners — a heritage celebrated each year on National Day with flags, ceremony, and community pride.
Seborga is celebrated for its cultural identity and traditions as a historic principality; Azuron Society presents this experience as a cultural and hospitality event, not a political statement.
“A National Day celebrated once each year — opened, for one evening, to a very small circle of guests.”
The Royal Experience
As part of the National Day celebration, guests will witness the ceremonial arrival of H.S.H. Princess Nina, the Crown Councilors, the Royal Guards, and the historic procession of the Sestiere Burgu of Ventimiglia — an intimate cultural moment shaped by Seborga’s royal traditions, ceremony, and hospitality.
The evening includes a welcome address by Princess Nina and the official presentation of the new 2-Luigini commemorative coin of the Principality — regalia, procession, and ceremony passed down through generations, presented with the respect and authenticity it deserves.
